Health, Safety and Environment
Your safety is our primary concern
As a founding member of the Forklift Truck Association, Forkway are dedicated to ensuring our people comply with all Health, Safety & Environmental instructions. Likewise, we believe it is our responsibility to provide our customers with all the relevant details and assistance regarding these matters.
Working on customer’s sites presents a range of challenges to ensure that our employees meet legislation, standards and best practice competencies.
The Publicly Available PAS 90 2006 has been prepared by the BSI, in consultation with BITA (British Industrial Truck Association) leading suppliers of Materials Handling Equipment in the UK and associated user groups, as a single recognised specification containing the minimum safety requirements applicable to service engineers working on customer sites.
The scope of PAS 90 is extensive and covers topics such as first aid, jacking of trucks, employer responsibilities, environmental awareness, insurance and battery charge areas.
Along with applying to our employees, these implications also apply to our customers and we are pleased to offer assistance to ensure safety and compliance for both parties. To ensure our customers have the relevant information, we have a customer information pack containing details on the following:
- Forkway Profile
- Health & Safety Policy
- Risk Assessment & Safe Systems of work
- COSHH and COSHH Assessment
- Audit reports
- Health & Safety Newsletter
- Example of Customer Bulletin
